Restoring constitutional republicanism
by electing conservative first candidates
Age: 53
Current Held Office: Governor of New Jersey since 2010
Previous Held Office: U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey from 2002-2008
Previous Presidential Ambitions: None
Conservative First Ideology Category:
Establishment Moderate
Strengths: Took on the unions with collective bargaining reform; pardoned young gun owner who was outrageously arrested.
Weaknesses: He refused to take part in Obamacare lawsuit; expanded Medicaid under Obamacare; "Bridgegate" scandal; global warming believer; endorsed Mitt Romney early in 2012 race; his self-serving speech at the 2012 convention; "THE OBAMA HUG" days before 2012 presidential election; Moody's downgraded New Jersey's credit rating for the 9th time under his leadership; N.J. has the highest property taxes in the union; gun control proponent.
Our Analysis: We had high hopes for Gov. Christie in 2009
but we aren't too proud to admit we were wrong. He is a big establishment/moderate politician with a horrible record as governor.
